UTILIZING THE STRENGTH OF YOUTH FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT: STRATEGIES FOR ACHIEVING THE SDGS
Abdulquadir Iyanda Jimoh The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were adopted by the United Nations in 2015 as a call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all. With a total of 17 goals and 169 targets, these ambitious objectives require the collective effort of individuals, communities, organizations, and governments around the world. In this endeavor, it is crucial to leverage the strength and potential of youth who play a pivotal role in achieving these goals and securing a sustainable future. Young people represent a significant portion of the world's population, with estimates indicating that more than half of the global population is under the age of 30.
