BOMBSHELL: There's Clear Difference Between Emirate And Moro People
There's Clear Difference Between Emirate And Moro People.
Independence and democracy are one of the recommended systems world wide for good governance, freedom of speech, rules of law and et cetera. Without prejudice to the rules of law, Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State deserves same constitutional rights to have Obas and Baales, meeting the same standards of other local government area in Kwara north senatorial district and Kwara State as a whole. However, education has plays one key role in humans race and one of the integral part to a successful life. Lack of quality education have drastically contributes more negatively to the development of Moro as a local government in the past few years back, compare to the level of elites in the local government today. Poor understanding of the system of government and lack of political prowess also brought this local government to the lowest level among it contemporaries in the state which gives room for manipulation, extortion, kleptocracy, and all other sorts of antisocial behaviors among rulers both traditional and political affairs of the local government in Kwara State.
It is very clear that, we have different languages and ethnic groups in both local and state level in Nigeria which brings of about 250 ethnics group and 520 different languages in our country, Nigeria. It is also not a surprise that among Hausa we have multilingual, among Yoruba we have multilingual and dialects and likewise Igbo respectively. It will be unjust to compare Emirate with Moro people because of our ethnic and linkage originates from Yoruba empire of about 2 centuries ago for those of us that are very conversant with history, the Emirates Council which are very popularly known among Hausa/Fulani are system of government adopted from Arabic speaking countries where Hausa had earlier adopted Islam as a way of emulation which are inline with their beliefs and adopted culture respectively.
Moreso, 90% of Moro citizens are pure Yorubas and the remaining 10% is likely to be Fulanis (Nomadics) and Hausa merchants who migrated from their prospective states to transact businesses and eventually resides in most of our communities due to the good and favorable atmosphere of the local government which warrant it.
Ilorin Emirate adopted the same system of government after winning war over Afonja with the help of Sokoto caliphate of about 200 years ago. Afonja who is pure Yoruba and his descendants in Idiape can never be compromised. For fact that, the word "Ilorin" was coined from Yoruba speaking dialect which mean "Ibi ti won ti nponrin", It was actually called "Okuta ilo irin" (meaning stone for sharpening metals). It is from this tool, the town Ilorin derived its name or " a place of sharpening metals" and majority of so called Ilorin speaks in Yoruba dialect.
Furthermore, exceptional from compromise, Moro only shared some little traditions with Ilorin as we have our origin from Yoruba (Odua Federation) similar to Baruba and their neighboring country in Kwara north. The five districts in Moro which comprises of Ipaye, Malete, Oloru, Lanwa and Eji respectively are pure Yorubas speaking communities and from inception we have our own separate culture and traditions compare to the Hausa system of government called (Emirate Council). Had it been Moro is part and parcel of Emirate, we suppose to have today majority of the local government to speaks in Hausa or Fulani languages/dialects in which we have few who constitutes 10℅ of the population who are nomads and merchants respectively.
Arguably, oppressing and compelling good people of Moro as part of Emirate Council in Kwara State is unjust and unfair from the part of initiators. Kwara State can only be great when we have peace and freedoms to exercise individual power to the fullest that will only serve as a deterrent to intercommunal clash in the later future. Persistence oppression of Moro who are now elites compare to the level of illiterates and ignorance of most of the past leaders and representatives that gives room for manipulation and extortion of the local government in both political and traditional affairs of Kwara State. Great Bacon five century ago said and I qoute that; 1. Too much of poverty, and 2. Too much of discontent, are the basis of rebellion. Too much of discontent will continue to poison the heart of all Patriotic Moro and that's a serious impending communal conflicts in Kwara State, if this issue is not logically looked into from both political and traditional sphere.
There's distinct difference between Ilorin Emirate and Moro, grant Moro autonomous power, grant Moro Independence to rule and control over their various ancestral home, settlements, communities and districts respectively as a way of bringing everlasting peace, unity and progress to the zone and Kwara state as a whole.
The Government of Kwara State should take all necessary steps as a Government of the poor and ordinary citizens to bring peace, prosperity, political and traditional standard to Moro by eradicating tyrannical rules in the state. Promote all our Royal fathers to first class Obas and Baale respectively. That's our advocates.
