BAD ROAD: Shao-KWASU, Malete
Shao-KWASU Malete Road in Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State is in worrisome state. For the fact that, the University for Community Development is situated in Malete, Moro LGA of Kwara State which is a big investment for the Government of Kwara State and in returns generating billions of naira every year for the Government, our road is in shambles.
However poor road infrastructure hinders road transport and curtails societal development and mobility. Rural areas are places for the production of primary goods and services worldwide. Increases in sufficient roads in rural areas tend to increase access to agricultural inputs and market, communication and technology.
Moreover, it's a well known fact that, bad roads exert wear and tier on the vehicles.
And the groaning of road users and the transporters along this road is getting alarming as if Malete has already carved out of Moro,
We ought to enjoy the same dividends of democracy, although, the impacts of Kwara State Government on the construction and rehabilitation of roads across Kwara State cannot be underscored. Do something on the pathetic conditions of this road and give good people of Malete district sense of belonging.
This Government is trying hard to reposition things for better and I believe we ought to enjoy the following benefits, if this road can be quickly rehabilitates, we tends to enjoy the following benefits, which includes:
• Economic development
of the State. For speedy transportation of
commodities and quick movements, a good
road network is essential.
• It will also save time
considerably in all of our daily activities.
• It will serves as feeder line for
other modes of transport and thus helps
indirectly in their development.
• Reconstruction of this road will helps in the growth of
trade and other economic activities.
• More so, during emergency conditions like accident, the injured
persons can be rushed immediately to hospital through
good system of road and have the life saved.
• Improvement in the living standard of the people in the
community.
• Lower cost of maintenance of vehicles used on this
Shao-KWASU road links many communities together in Kwara north senatorial district of the State, and in this axis we put much interest to the good roads in transporting agricultural produce to the metropols for the reason that is best known to us, that most of our people are farmers.
We look forward for the quick intervention of the Kwara State Government on this road.
