Youth O'clock

By Comr. Jimoh Abdulquadir Iyanda

Nigeria is the most populous country in Africa, and at the same time with one of the largest populations of the youth in the world with about 33 millions youth (43.54%).

Youth have also been said to take reasonable part in the socio-economic development and political prosperity of a given country. Many Nigerians youth has becomes liabilities to the system due to family background, and the high level of poverty ravaging the country as a result of endemic state of our corruption.

Nigerian youths should endeavors to rise to their responsibilities as a former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo said "Youth constitute Nigeria's only hope for a real future".

No elderly one will consider youth first for a leadership positions except you rise to your responsibility by taking charge at your various local level and prove yourself worthy to be a leader.

It's very imperative that, nobody will give you  power, you rather have to take part to take charge and be frustrated, but you need to be focused as a leader of tomorrow.

On the dot O'clock for the youth to: take charge, be responsible, be accountable, be supportive towards ensuring a better and safer Nigeria.

We need to encourage ourselves, because the possibilities of a better Nigeria lies in our hands.

Our leaders has done all they could do to please us, but greediness and selfish interest has cloud their vision to define a good future and a conducive environment for the youth and the generation to come.

The coming general election in Nigeria history will be decided by the youths, take responsibility and take charge.

Finally, remember the work starts now and it started from your communities to the ward levels.

Change begins with me and you, take charge and take responsibility, the future belongs to ours!
