THE GROANING OF SYCOPHANTS

In this part of the world politically, people make utterances for their selfish interest not for the interest of the masses. We have been fooled always to believe otherwise. 

In Nigeria today, we do the so called politics like "Cultist clans" where we have Modus operandi, hierarchy and settings. This system was created primarily to siphon money meant for community developments, infrastructural developments and as well as social amenities for our urban and rural communities to the individuals pocket and we called this politics. The question now is that, how did we get here? In our democracy and the type of politics that we are practicing in this part of the world, you will surely face a lot of setbacks, confrontation, rejection, harassment, embarrassment, war, and host of others, if you are a "progressive minded person". It is now left for you not to bugged, talk less of getting detailed. 

This "Clans of cultist" called politicians in our various communities are the basis and genesis of our poverty, ignorance, underdevelopment, insecurities, conflicts, war, and terrorism that's weighing down this country everyday of our lives. 

What do we need to do? It's very imperative to know that; It's our legitimate right to follow and learn from progressive leaders, it is our right to support a progressive leader, it is our legitimate right as a youth in our various localities and communities to say no to "useless ideologies", it is our legitimate right to participate in the affairs of our immediate and larger societies, it is our rights to shape and design a better future that will really work for every citizens, and lastly, it is our right to come together as one indivisible force for a better Nigeria. 

Furthermore, it is just a pity that, we shout too much on the prevailing level of bad and corrupt leadership in this part of the world, but we do nothing to change it for better. As a youth, everyday of our lives we found ourselves in different Assembly in our various communities and places of work talking about bad leaders, bad government, bad politics and so on, but we do nothing to bring about the real change.

Real change begins with me and you, take responsibility, take action, try and participate today, and let shape our future for better. You start right there in your localities, because a lot of things are going wrong. It's your legitimate right to change that narratives for good. Start now!
