GOV. ABDULRAHMAN, CON URGES COLLABORATION IN FLOOD PREVENTION EFFORTS IN KWARA STATE

In a statement released yesterday June 10, 2023, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State addressed the ongoing efforts to prevent flooding and protect lives and properties in the state. He stated yesterday earlier in the evening that, he personally inspected the ongoing dredging of the Asa River, emphasizing the government's commitment to this unceasing endeavor.
Governor AbdulRazaq highlighted that the dredging of the Asa River is just one component of their comprehensive approach to flood prevention. He mentioned the desilting of drainages and the extensive media campaigns that have been launched to educate the public on the severity of rainfall this year, as well as the risks associated with blocking waterways.
